 This training is to help Governors, Directors, Clerks, Governance Leads/Professionals and staff gain an understanding of the legal and Bishop’s requirements for considering In-Year applications, ranking new intake applications, and determining admission arrangements all in accordance with legislation.

Aims of the Training

To:

  • provide guidance on some of the legal requirement of the School Admissions Code.
  • provide guidance on the processes for considering in-year
  • provide guidance on the ranking of new intake applications.
  • provide guidance on oversubscription criteria and the process for determining admission arrangements in accordance with the Bishop’s requirement and legislation, including appeals.
  • provide guidance on managing exclusions, suspensions and application of the Fair Access Protocol.
